  The British and the Americans are becoming increasingly overweight, with those who weigh most being very much heavier than others.
   
b) Is self-esteem considered a determining factor in gaining weight?
  Many people believe self-esteem affects weight gain but there are actually many other factors, including ingredients which stimulate hunger.

    a) The habitants in the UK and in the USA have shifted theirs styles life, they have increased the consum of sugar, salt and fat; so they are fatter that several decades ago.

    b) The self-esteem is a factor mare with influence in the obesity but there are other factors as for example the few exercice.

    3 a) I wish that the restaurants do list calorie counts on their menus.

    Me temo que la 2.a) habla del peso de los habitantes de los Estados Unidos y del Reino Unido, no de su estilo de vida. Cuando el enunciado dice the pattern of human body weight entiendo que se refiere específicamente a las pautas relacionadas con el peso de las personas. Tú mencionas una de ellas al final de tu respuesta, pero no la otra.

    Por otro lado, tus oraciones tienen bastantes faltas. Podrían quedar corregidas así:

    The inhabitants of the UK and the USA have changed their lifestyle(s), increasing the consumption of sugar, salt and fat, so they are fatter than several decades ago

    pero date cuenta de que esto no contesta el enunciado.


    b) Tu respuesta está calcada del español. Eso no funciona nada bien. Debes pensar tus oraciones directamente en inglés, no traducirlas literalmente del español. La idea la has entendido bien, pero la oración está mal construida. Podría quedar corregida así:

    Self-esteem is one of the factors that affect obesity, but there are other factors, such as the lack of exercise.


    3.d) Después de wish en este estilo de declaraciones lo que toca es usar el pasado simple del subjuntivo (que es exactamente idéntico al pasado simple del indicativo con la excepción del verbo to be, que sólo tiene una forma were. Por ello tu respuesta es incorrecta. Hablando en general, no se usa the.
